Today I want to give you a place to start your week. It’s Monday and in the wake of a great weekend and a workweek ahead, sometimes you just need a “kickstart” to get focused. So grab some coffee let’s start a great week together.
Yesterday, Pastor Marty brought the message to our Kfirst community as he directed our attention to discipleship. (Click here for yesterday’s notes.) Our journey in life doesn’t end with a decision to follow Christ; it begins to unfold at that decision.
Discipleship is the place of where our faith grows. It is that place where we say “yes” to following Christ and allowing His character to be developed in our lives. And as we see that develop, three things happen.
- We will be the salt of the earth.
- We will be the light to the world.
- And these will be shown as we step forward with good deeds.
- Say “yes” to the direction that Christ gives you.
- Step forward in the actions (good deeds) that show your life as salt and light to the world around you.
